I chose to be a part of the Children’s Discovery Center team because I believe in powerful educational opportunities for all ages. Youth & families in our region deserve to have a place like this local – a place to learn & explore, connect with others and find joy.

I love our rural region and want to see it thrive for future generations! By providing more amenities, the Children’s Discovery Center will strengthen our community in so many ways – I can’t wait to see the ripple effect!

My involvement with the Children’s Discovery Center comes from many passions: supporting community revitalization, helping local businesses thrive, and creating more opportunities for rural youth and families. I believe it is essential to strengthen and expand early childhood opportunities in our rural area, empowering older rural youth, and addressing the growing challenges of childhood mental health in a world increasingly dominated by screens. This project brings together all of these priorities, creating a space where children can play, imagine, and flourish while strengthening the region as a whole.

My passion for the Children's Discovery Center comes from a place of wanting to provide more for our families and our community. I want to help provide an education and enjoyable space for youth and families to gather and explore new ideas. The Children's Discovery Center can put the Wahpeton - Breckenridge community on the map as a great place to visit and a great place to raise a family. It is very exciting to be a part of such a big project that will have a lasting impact on your region!

I believe in the importance of the Children’s Discovery Center because it provides a unique, hands-on learning environment that fosters curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking in young minds. By offering interactive exhibits and play-based activities, this center will help kids in our community develop essential life-long skills. In our community, the Children’s Discovery Center would not only enrich the lives of local families but also attract visitors, support local businesses, and promote community engagement, ultimately contributing to our community’s growth and vitality.

I am so honored to join this dedicated group of moms to continue such an important project for our community, and I am motivated to support the CDC for many reasons:

• I am deeply passionate about economic revitalization in Breckenridge AND our twin town community.

• I believe in creating a safe, welcoming, & creative space for families, children, teens, and community members. A space that encourages them to gather, connect, and spend time enjoying all that our city has to offer.

• I value volunteerism as a vital cornerstone of strong communities, and I look forward to contributing my time to help bring this vision to life.
