Events and Popups

Thanks to funding from the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE), the Children’s Discovery Center is bringing free, hands-on programming to children and families throughout our region.

This funding allows us to serve children even before the doors to our permanent museum open. Through free pop-up events, community partnerships, and engaging play-based learning experiences, children across the Red River Valley can build, create, explore, and discover together.

These programs are an important part of our mission to expand access to meaningful, screen-free, hands-on learning opportunities for children in our rural communities and give families a glimpse of what’s to come at the Children’s Discovery Center.

We are incredibly grateful to the Minnesota Department of Education and Minnesota state lawmakers who continue to champion investments in children and families, helping us expand access to meaningful, play-based learning opportunities throughout our region.
